We’ve been talking about it… and here it is! Episode 149 Liz and Heather talk both the book and the mini-series on Amazon Prime of Good Omens.

How much do we love Aziraphale and Crowley? A ton! [Spoiler Alert]

Listen in as we discuss the book and the series. But don’t worry if you have only seen the series, you won’t be left out. We also dive into the casting choices, and the phenomenal work by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman in bringing this story to us.

Oct 11, 2019

In Episode 148 Liz and Heather uncovered a list of 20 thought provoking 'Shower Thoughts'. The term is coined by Reddit, but we feel they are more accurately described as 'Stoner Thoughts'.

In episode 147, we are bringing to you a listener request - so we have Shark Month Bonus - The Meg (Where we actually talk about The Meg!). In our first episode on this movie, we had Stefanie Brendl, Executive Director of Shark Allies, on the show to talk about the movie in general and get more information on sharks. We did not do an in-depth review of the movie, so we had several listeners request that we do. So, we did!

In this episode, Liz and Heather take a 12,000 meter dive into 2018's The Meg, staring Jason Statham and His Abs, It was a lot of fun to talk about on this level, so we hope you enjoy!

Alas, Shark Month is drawing to a close with Episode 146: Shark Month Week 4 - Sharknado & Top Things We Learned From Shark Month! Liz and Heather sat down to watch Sharknado for the first time and man... was it something!! Our biggest questions was HOW are these movies STILL being made??

Sep 14, 2019

This week we continue Shark Month with a hilarious look at Deep Blue Sea! Liz and Heather talk about the crew of the ill-fated shark research facility, and why it is not a good idea to try and make a shark smarter.

Sep 6, 2019

It’s September, which means it is officially SHARK MONTH!!! As we dive in to this awesome theme month to celebrate Liz’s birthday month, we are taking a look at the shark movie that started all shark movies — JAWS (1975), followed by the Top 5 Stupid Shark Myths!

We are also taking this opportunity to not only talk about shark movies and sharks, but our goal is to do a little good in the world and work on shark conservation, as well! We are teaming up with Shark Allies, a non-profit organization that is working to eliminate the horrible practice of shark finning. Nerdy Bitches is raising funds for the organization on our Facebook page, so make sure you check that out. Even a couple of bucks can make a big difference! You can go to SharkAllies.com to learn more about them and see how you can help! We will be having a special guest on the show this month to tell us more!

It seems like just yesterday we were SO excited that DC was going to make an animated movie of Hush. Now that we have seen it, we may be a little less excited, but hey Batman is Batman right?!

Join Heather and Liz in episode 141 where we discuss the differences between Hush the comic (with the amazing work of Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb) and Hush the animated movie. Full disclosure, they changed a lot so even if you have read the comic you aren’t entirely spoiled on the movie. But you will have some Spoilers by listening to this podcast, so be prepared!

Also, Catwoman has a potty mouth – another reason why she will always have our heart.

In standard Liz and Heather fashion, we go little off topic in the recommendations portion of our show discusses hot guys in funny (but stupid) movies… and why we love them.

Aug 16, 2019

In Liz's first gig as a convention moderator, we spoke with Comic creators Chelsea Cain and Lia Miternique, creators of the Maneaters comic series. This series, written around a 12 year old girl, focuses on a world where girls/women turn into werepanthers when they get their periods... so like real life. Listen in as we talk about the best ways to get more women and more diversity in general into the world of comics through both creators, readers, and characters!

Aug 9, 2019

In this episode 139, we are celebrating National Book Lovers Day by talking about some of our favorite books and series! We come back to Episode 137 with the second half of our 1980's TV nostalgia. This week we talk 80's sitcoms and dramas. Who remember's Designing Women and Empty Nest? This time Liz and Heather play catchphrase again, but with an added monotone twist.

Jul 19, 2019

In Episode 136 Liz and Heather talk about our new 'Nostalgia' series. This week, we take on Television from the 1980's! There is just too much to talk about, so we broke this into Part 1 and focused on Theme Songs and Saturday Morning cartoons from the 1980's.

Play along with Liz's version of 'Catchphrase' where she lists famous sitcom quotes and Heather takes a stab at guessing them. Cowabunga Dude!

Of course you can't talk about Children's programming without the discussion of Punky Brewster and her need to increase her bust - one of your cohosts actually bought the same Punky Brewster bust enhancing contraption. Listen in to find out who.

Happy 4th of July!! This week, we wanted to flashback to our Independence Day Classic Movie Review! We went through and edited it down to a more reasonable time-frame (the first one was nearly 2 hours!) and cut out some of the current event things that are now old news if you don't have a time machine set for 2017. We will be back next week for a brand new episode!

Jun 28, 2019

In episode 134 we talk about the movie that brought Steve Rogers to life! Captain America: The First Avenger is discussed as we celebrate the Fourth of July in style!

We will warn that this episode of Captain America does discuss the entire Steve Rogers story arc, so there may be spoilers for those who haven't seen the Avengers and Captain America trilogy. And of course.... America's Ass is mentioned... like you had to ask.

Jun 21, 2019

In episode 133, we introduce a new series entitled 'The Women of...' where we look at different genres, fandoms, and areas, to explore the women in them. A randomizer picked 'Villainy' out of all of our potential topics, and Heather and Liz had much to say. In fact, we determined that all female villains fall into 1 of 2 categories:

  • Evil Through and Through with no redeemable qualities
  • Justifiable villain, she has reason to be why she is the way she is.

So as we explored each villain, we judged them as being 'Justifiable' or 'Pure Evil'. There is a villain that Liz considered so irredeemable she dropped the c-word numerous times to describe her. Curious? Listen in.

Jun 14, 2019
