In this episode, Liz and Heather invite fellow nerdy bitches Ofelia and Eileen back into the studio to discuss Batman v Superman. SPOILERS. SPOILERS. SPOILERS.

In our last DC Comics episode, we pretty much called it "DC: Don't Fuck It Up", so we are going to work our way through this movie with our girls. First, the movie got pretty terrible reviews, which didn't really sway us one way or the other because we are going to watch what we want. YOU AREN'T THE BOSS OF ME, CRITICS!!

The general consensus was that they did a good job of pulling from the comics, but may have brought in TOO many elements. It was entertaining, but there were some slow areas and some utter yawns. There is a bit of desperation in this movie. We think that they are trying to Avengers the series without bothering to do the leg work on the back stories.

We all seem to like Batfleck, which had been all of our original concerns, but he did a great job. We were so excited to see Wonder Woman, but she was completely underutilized throughout and just didn't make any sense. She seemed to be there to keep the whining bitches of Batman and Superman from beating each other to death with their dicks.

We hate Lex Luther. Bad actor and badly performed. Such a colossal pussy. He could have been played a lot more like Tony Stark because Lex is a genius, but in this movie he is just fucking nuts.

Side Note: The new Aquaman is fucking hot. But why is he holding his breath? And why does his trident look like a rake? Is he gardening??

Keep on listening, as we have a lot to say. BECAUSE I'M BATMAN!!!!!

In this episode, Liz and Heather welcome some new guests into the studio for an intro to anime! We brought Ofelia (she drew our podcast photos) and Eileen to teach us a little more about why people like anime and what we should look into. Both Ofelia and Eileen have great stories about anime influencing their lives.

Our questions - What the hell is anime and why should we dig it? Their answer: Art!

- What is the difference between anime and manga?

Some that Heather and I watched: Desert Punk, Black Butler, Attack on Titan, Cowboy BeBop... we are still exploring.

Anime seemed to pick up steam in America back in the 90s. There are a lot of great conventions (ACON) for anime.

We love the use of color that is way over the top compared to American animation.

Listen in for the rest of this episode, as our amazing guests have a lot to say about the wonders of anime!

Recommended shows for newbies - There are so many categories to choose from. Do your research to find your favorites. Samauri 7 (historical), Attack on Titan, Honey and Clover, DeathNote (psychological), Full Metal Alchemist (emotional)

Bitch of the Week - Kids who spoil the holiday secrets for other kids. This makes Liz go all aunt-zilla. It's just mean, and I blame their parents for not making sure they don't do this. It isn't right and it isn't fair to crap all over someone else's beliefs. This goes for anyone trying to "clue people in" to what is "true." Fuck you.

In this episode, Liz and Heather talk about our most recent Book Club: Lamb by Christopher Moore. We LOVE THIS BOOK. It is so funny and also makes you think. Here is the disclaimer - if you are super starchy religious or have a stick up your ass, you may want to skip that episode.

Note: Donkey and Goat Wine is what Heather is talking about - fermented natural wine that tastes like grape juice. Check it out.

We will soon be adding a Classic Movie Club to our podcast, in addition to our Book Clubs. Our first movies will be Alien/Aliens since there will be a reunion of Aliens at Comicpalooza in Houston in June.

Here'e the plot of the book: The angel Raziel has come back 2,000 years after the death of Christ and has brought back Biff, Jesus' childhood pal, to tell his Gospel - the 30 year gap in what happened to Jesus (Joshua) from about age 6 until his death. Biff is locked in a hotel room, writing his version of events of the day. Since Joshua is supposed to be the Messiah and is to be without sin, he gets Biff to do the sinning for him, and then tell him about it later. They also have their childhood friend, Mary Magdalene (Maggie) to contend with. She is in love with Joshua and Biff is in love with Maggie... good times.

Joshua and Biff go on an epic journey throughout the land searching for the three magi who were present at his birth to try to learn how to be the Messiah; Balthazar, Gaspar, and Melchior are there names.

Lots of love, sinning, sex, Bible stuff, and more. Read it, listen to it, and listen to us. Because this is cool Jesus. And we like cool Jesus. Trust us, yo.
